Alice Kingsley is based on real-life Alice, seven year-old Alice Liddell. She was a child model, photographed by Louis Carroll, creator of Alice in Wonderland. How did the Chesire Cat get its name? Since Louis Carroll's hometown was Chesire,England, he decided to bring that into his story. |
Why is the Mad Hatter so mad ? The Mad Hatter is based on the saying, "Mad as a Hatter," because most hatters get mercury poisining, because the chemical that they use in their work is mercury, the same stuff that we see in thermometers (the red stuff). Which is older: the Red Queen or the White Queen? The Red Queen is older, which is why she gets so mad in Through the Looking Glass, because the older sibling is supposed to recieve the crown, not the younger sibling, but the White Queen deserves it, because of her caring and kindness. |
